Device Brightness
SignalRGB provides three levels of brightness control, allowing for flexible and nuanced display settings.
1. Global Brightness
Global Brightness applies to the entirety of SignalRGB and applies on top of any other brightness levels. It offers quick, universal method to adjust overall brightness.
2. Layout Brightness
Layout Brightness is saved with each layout, and gets applied when that layout is swapped to. This allows you to in addition to creating a different set of device positions for each effect when using Preferred Layouts, also adjust brightness based on the current Layout.
Examples:
- Bright layout for gaming environments
- Dimmed layout for movie or media consumption
- Lowering the brightness of devices when using a specific effect.
3. Device Brightness
Every Device in SignalRGB has it's own brightness level which can be used to fine-tune them relative to each other. If you have an issue with one device overpowering the lighting of another in your case you'll want to adjust the brightness of them individually.
Effective Brightness
Brightness settings are multiplicative. For example:
- 50% Global Brightness
- 50% Layout Brightness
- Results in 25% effective brightness
